Terms of service
Please read carefully before using the services offered by MatterTee.com
MatterTee provides users with an automated Internet-based service to design and sell t-shirts and other custom products. By using MatterTee and its services in any capacity, you have agreed to the terms and conditions of this Agreement and agree to use the site and service solely as provided in this Agreement.
1. Artwork Submission
When you upload or submit any content be it images, design files, logos, or text (collectively referred to as “Artwork”) to MatterTee as part of your order, you confirm that you legally own or have permission to use such content. This assurance includes confirming that your artwork does not infringe the rights of any third party.
If you’re placing an order on behalf of a company, you agree to fully indemnify MatterTee against any claims, costs, or legal issues arising from disputes over intellectual property ownership or unauthorised use.
We reserve the right to pause or cancel any order if there is a need to verify the legitimacy or ownership of the submitted artwork.
2. Unacceptable Content
To maintain quality and compliance, you must not submit any artwork that, in MatterTee’s sole judgment:
- Contains false, offensive, obscene, pornographic, abusive, or hateful material
- Intends to harass, insult, or cause discomfort or embarrassment to others
- Discriminates based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, age, or sexual orientation
- Misrepresents identity or impersonates another person or brand
- Encourages illegal activity, violence, or violates intellectual property or privacy rights
- Falsely implies a relationship with MatterTee
- Includes personal data (e.g. name, address, phone, email) without proper consent
These examples are not exhaustive. It remains your responsibility to ensure the content complies with all legal and content regulations in the destination country of delivery.
3. Usage Rights & Modifications
By submitting your artwork, you grant MatterTee and our service partners a royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, adapt, and publish the design for the purpose of order fulfilment and product or service marketing.
Where necessary, we may make slight adjustments to align the artwork with production requirements.
You also understand that production files such as print or embroidery mock-ups created by MatterTee remain our property. These are strictly for production purposes and are not shared or owned by the customer.
4. Artwork Quality & Responsibility
Please note that precise colour reproduction is not guaranteed, due to variations in the printing process. We do our best to match your design closely, but slight differences in positioning or colour are expected in manual production. Small variations will not qualify for return or refund unless they deviate substantially from your submitted design or order description.
To ensure the best results:
- File format must be .png
- Maximum file size is 125MB
- Recommended resolution is at least 300 DPI
We do not accept formats like Word, PDF, EPS, PSD, EVG, or similar. If your file does not meet our standards, we may contact you for a replacement. If we are unable to reach you, we may choose to hold or proceed with the order based on our judgment.
MatterTee is not liable for poor print quality resulting from low-resolution artwork or unsupported file formats, even in cases where we cannot reach you. No refunds or exchanges will be issued in such cases.
5. Trademark & Copyright
MatterTee is committed to respecting intellectual property. Any submission that infringes upon copyrights, trademarks, publicity rights, or privacy laws will not be accepted.
You must either own the design or hold valid usage rights for commercial purposes. You are also responsible for ensuring your submission does not breach any licensing or confidentiality agreements.
These requirements are part of our broader Personalisation Standards. We reserve the right to reject, cancel, or terminate any order or service agreement without liability if these terms are violated. This includes situations involving legal claims or disputes from third parties.
6. Cancellation Policy
Orders for personalised products and all business orders are non-cancellable once confirmed. Every item is made-to-order and not part of ready stock.
7. Product Faults
We aim to ensure all products match the key details listed on our site or promotional material such as brand, size, colour, cut, and fabric.
However, due to screen display differences, actual product colours may vary slightly from what you see online. Minor variations in print placement or hue are not considered defects.
By placing your order, you agree to these terms and are responsible for checking size charts carefully. Variations between brands in sizing will not be treated as faults unless they do not match the listed specifications.
Any product defect must be reported within 14 days of receiving your item.
8. Shipping Delays
We always strive to deliver on time, but we are not liable for delays caused by third-party logistics providers, natural disasters, or other events beyond our control.
